Data Capture:

ICS currently maintains 16 data entry workstations, available three shifts per day, six days per week - a data entry workforce of over 48 FTEs. This readily available pool of permanent full-time data entry operators can easily be added to based on the abundance of highly trained workers in this area. ICS can add an additional 25 workstations, expanding the available workforce from 48 to 125, within 21 days of notification of the need for additional resources. Additional ramp-up capabilities can be developed and tailored to the client's specific needs, with up to a total of 100 data entry workstations (300+ FTEs) available within 6 months to 1 year.

ICS' management staff has successfully proven their ability to understand and comply with the keying instructions for client data on literally thousands of programs. These instructions include such elements as: general and program specific keying rules;
  • Field edits for allowable responses
  • Key verification of critical fields
  • Incorporation of check digit routines
  • "Duping" information to another record
ICS' key edit procedures allow for values to be either hard-coded into the program or table-driven. As a general rule, if a particular field can only have one possible value and this value is never expected to change over the life of the application, this value will be "duped" in programmatically. However, when more than one value is possible or the allowable values may change, a table is established for validation. Regardless of which method is used, the data output routines will duplicate the edits as a precautionary measure.

ICS offers the following initiatives to ensure its commitment to quality:
  • A dedicated, experienced keying staff
  • Table validation routines on as many fields as possible
  • Random sampling of keyed work by a dedicated Quality Assurance Group to assure understanding of job requirements and validate accuracy being achieved
  • In-house operator retraining programs to improve operator efficiency/quality
